Title Technical Project Manager and Business Analyst

Description The Technical Project Manager and Business Analyst is a dual role defining/communicating requirements and planning/scheduling execution. As a project manager, the role is responsible for planning and leadership that supports project success criteria – scope, schedule, quality, budget, customer satisfaction and overall risk. As a business analyst, the role is responsible for working with business sponsors and development teams for gathering requirements, communication and expectation setting. The manager can expect to work on several simultaneous projects in a challenging environment. Expectation setting, communication (oral/written), adaptability, creative problem solving and change management skills are critical.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Creating statements of work that define a project’s scope, efforts and costs.
• Staffing the right people to a project and aligning them with project goals and objectives.
• Creating a work plan that meets both business and developmental goals (cost, staff, scope and quality).
• Setting expectations of the development process with all team members (business and development).
• Manage the development process by organizing ahead of time, escalating issues quickly and monitoring budget.
• Managing change through a process that retains cost, staff, scope and quality goals.
• Closing a project and managing the transition from DEV to SYSTEMS for maintenance.
• Working with business sponsors to gather, organize and prioritize requirements.
• Define acceptance test criteria for each project requirement.
• Communicating and vetting requirements with the development team before and during construction.
• Validating requirements and driving sign-off going into full development.
• Managing change through a formal change management process.
• Working with end users to assist in usability of the product after development, if applicable.
• Setting expectations and managing the process of the Business Analysis function with business sponsors.
Requirements Must Have:
• Completed four year degree in related business program and three or more years experience managing full life cycle projects.
• Two or more years experience managing projects using Agile/Scrum.
• Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Visio.
• One or more years experience in software development/engineering.
• Ability to understand, document and analyze business processes.
• An openness to change.
• Creative problem-solving skills.

• One or more years experience working as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
• One or more years experience working as a Software Tester in software development projects.
