Description As Information Architect, you will play a strategic role in structural application design, organizing content and creating information design standards within the organization. This applies to internal and client-facing corporate applications. The Information Architect will work throughout the project lifecycle, from presales to final delivery to iteratively guide usable application design. The IA can expect to design desktop, web and mobile applications.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Drive information architecture for desktop, web and mobile applications.
• Work with business sponsors and analysts to define functional and business application requirements.
• Translate functional, technical and business requirements into a usable application design.
• Apply best practices and industry standards in developing application wireframes.
• Define organizational standards in both information architecture processes and design.
• Create templates and a repeatable process for engaging in Information Architecture.
• Set and manage expectations with business sponsors and development team members on the IA process.
• Contribute to statements of work to define a project’s scope, efforts and assumptions.
• Involvement and awareness of the latest industry trends for information design.
• Likely to play a Business Analyst role in addition to Information Architect.

Requirements • Completed four year degree in related business program and three or more years experience driving full life cycle application development projects.
• Four+ years experience as an Information Architect.
• Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Ability to understand, document and analyze business processes and requirements.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience in visual design and software development using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash and/or Silverlight a plus.
